Volunteers, Hall of Fame, Honorary Life Members Recognized for Service to NVAR

Led by 2016 Chairman Virgil Frizzell, NVAR honored outgoing 2016 leadership and award winners and welcomed incoming volunteers at the annual Appreciation and Installation Ceremony in Fairfax this past December 1.

Installing officer David Howell, the 1995 NVAR Chairman, administered the oath of office to 2017 Chairman of the Board Bob Adamson, of McEnearney Associates. Howell reminisced about urging Adamson to join McEnearney, and subsequently encouraging him to get involved with NVAR.

In his acceptance remarks, Adamson shared his 2017 leadership theme: NVAR Cares. “Let’s make an even greater effort to be involved and show that Realtors® care in 2017,” he said.  “Volunteer . . . with us. Be engaged at our events, summits and classes and get involved with RPAC and our legislative advocacy! That way, we can continue to work in a marketplace where success is possible, and our clients can freely buy, sell, and rent property without undue burden.” Adamson, who has been a Realtor® since 1986, is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

“Here’s my challenge to you,” Adamson said in conclusion. “Get involved in your local civic group, your community of worship or your local government. Attend meetings, speak up and contribute.”
