The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) is reaching out to share information regarding the extension of licenses and registrations, and the waiving of deadlines pursuant to the COVID-19 Response Emergency Amendment Act of 2020 (“the Act”).
In accordance with the Act, any professional or occupational license that expires during the declared public health emergency will be considered valid. Once the public health emergency is over, licensees will have 45 days to renew a license (90 days for special police officers). All late fees and penalties will be waived for those who complete the renewal within 45 days of the end of the emergency.
