How to Enter a One-Day Code in a Lockbox

One-day codes are generated by the lockbox owner. They allow Service Providers to access the lockbox’s key compartment without the use of a SentriCard. To enter a one day code, follow these instructions:

  1. Press and hold the ENT button on the lockbox keypad to wake up the lockbox.
  2. The keypad will light up, let go of the ENT button and type out the 1 day code; for example 84072214, and press ENT.
  3. The key compartment will open on the lockbox.

About One-Day Codes

  • They are good for a specific day and they automatically expire one hour after they are first used in the Lockbox.
  • One Day Codes can be generated for a Lockbox up to two weeks prior to when the code is actually needed.

How to Request a CBS (Call-Before-Showing Code)

The Call-Before-Showing (CBS) code allows the listing agent to control lockbox access by requiring the inspectors/pest control/termite inspectors to call for authorization before opening the lockbox.

To request a CBS code, you must contact the listing agent of the property and request a code. They will provide it to you directly (email, phone call, text, etc.) and you can then go to the property and enter the code in the box.
