NVAR is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our members. Bruce McBarnette, a Realtor® with Keller Williams-Dulles and an NVAR Ambassador, recently accomplished an extraordinary feat at the USA Track and Field National Masters Championships. Competing in Gothenburg, Sweden, on August 20, McBarnette won the high jump for men over 65, clearing an impressive 5 feet 1 inch (1.55 meters).
As part of Team USA, which fielded over 500 athletes and brought home the most medals of any nation, McBarnette's success is a testament to the dedication and drive that defines the NVAR community. He has won 16 world championships and 43 USA national championships in his age group.
McBarnette is a member of the Potomac Valley Track Club and a former collegiate athlete at Princeton University, where he was coached by Olympian Fred Samara. McBarnette’s career also includes time as a lawyer for the U.S. Senate and a former captain and lawyer in the U.S. Army.
Bruce McBarnette's success, both on and off the field, exemplifies the impressive accomplishments of NVAR members and Realtors®, who strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
