Meet Carol: Carol Temple has been an NVAR Top Producer for 47 years. Carol has been a full-time residential salesperson since August 1972 and is with Coldwell Banker Realty's Arlington office. Carol grew up in a large military family with seven people. She jokes that sharing one bathroom with that many people is where she sharpened her negotiation skills at a young age. Anticipation, patience, compromise, and resilience were must-have character traits growing up that also helped her in the real estate industry. At 17, Carol moved to Manhattan to attend a fashion merchandising school. After a year of soaking in New York by walking the streets to observe and listen to the environment around her, she concluded that life in merchandising was not what she wanted and moved back to Arlington.

After working office jobs, getting married, and starting a family, Carol decided to follow her mom into real estate sales. After a few years of commitment and preparation, Carol passed her real estate exam. Carol left general brokerage after a few months to work with the developers of the first condominium in North Arlington with their sales. Carol worked endlessly through a grueling schedule between laws, paperwork, concepts, furnishing, advertising, and financing. Moving back into general brokerage when the condominium sales concluded, Carol was provided with the flexibility to participate in the vibrant Arlington community.

While recognition and awards have been plentiful for Carol, the comment one of Carol's clients made about her is what is most important. She said, "Carol does the right thing…not the easy thing. To me, that marks a professional." Carol's mother's unwavering midwestern values and work ethic set a strong example for her. Carol practices "Realistic Real Estate," which means no sugar-coating, no hype, and no drama. Mutual trust, respect, and integrity are a must. That strong foundation enables her to overcome obstacles, implement solutions and minimize stress. She is often described as calm, steady, dependable, unflappable, and resourceful.

Carol's ethical approach is mirrored in the commitment all Realtors® make through the National Association of Realtors®' Code of Ethics. Her impressive number of years in the Top Producer's Club is a tribute to her success.
