Grievance Committee

The mission of the Grievance Committee is to promote and uphold professionalism within the membership, in accordance with the Code of Ethics, to elevate the business of members and to protect the Realtor® brand.


The Grievance Committee is responsible for reviewing arbitration claims and written complaints involving possible violations of the Code of Ethics, Lockbox Rules and Membership Duties. Committee members are scheduled to attend one meeting a month, on the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of each month. Committee members must commit to attending at least nine monthly meetings each year. Preparation and review of cases in advance of meetings is required.

The Grievance Committee does not make a determination as to whether a violation occurred, rather they work to ensure that complaints and claims are forwarded or dismissed prior to a more extensive review by the members of the Professional Standards Committee.
