Yes. It is important for Brokers and their prospective and current clients to have open and transparent conversations about the market, their services, the value of their representation, and how they will be compensated for those services. Informed consent is key. Moreover, Virginia law requires that Brokers get a written agency agreement in place that is signed by both parties prior to performing any real estate activities or beginning any negotiations.
