Understanding FIRPTA (1-hour)  A practical analysis of the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act of 1980 for the real estate licensees, this course will discuss the application of FIRPTA, its exceptions and procedures for obtaining exemption from the withholding requirements.

Divorce and Bankruptcy (1-hour) A review of the impact that a divorce can have on the property ownership with a focus on property held as tenants by the entirety. Attendees will also hear a discussion of the various types of bankruptcy and the ramifications that a bankruptcy has on the sale of real estate. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the effect of divorce and bankruptcy on real estate transactions in order to avoid issues that may delay or jeopardize settlement.
