Virginia Housing

Virginia Housing  (formerly VHDA) is a not-for-profit organization created by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Their mission is to help Virginians attain quality, affordable housing.

Individuals who complete the VHDA Real Estate Professional Training Course will be added to VHDA's Find a Real Estate Agent webpage – a great resource for clients to find and trust your business.

The course will provide the real estate salesperson and broker with the most current VHDA loan program information. The training will cover VHDA's programs, processes and benefits to first-time homebuyers; how to obtain solid understanding of the role of the state housing finance agencies; the purpose of VHDA; how to educate Virginians about housing resources available to them and much more!

About Regina Pinkney: For the past 18 years, Regina has dedicated herself to helping under-served segments of our community to attain affordable and sustainable homeownership. Working in the mortgage industry, beginning in 2002 at 1st Mariner Bank and then starting in 2009 at Union Mortgage Group, she developed relationships with housing agencies and non-profits in Northern Virginia to educate and empower families with low and moderate incomes families by providing individual credit education, homebuyer education classes and highly specialized financing. As a senior loan officer, she has assisted in every facet of loan origination. For 10 years in a row, she was one of the Virginia Housing Development Authority's top-producing loan officers.  

 

Regina served on the City of Alexandria's Neighborhood Stabilization Program Management Team and on the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority Family Self-Sufficiency Program Coordinating Committee. As a volunteer, over the years, she taught countless homebuyer education classes in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax and DC. And was named a Housing Hero by the City of Alexandria.  

 

Since April 2017, Regina has worked for the Virginia Housing Development Authority. In that capacity, she meets regularly with loan officers and real estate professionals all over Northern Virginia, to educate and assist them with VHDA's mission of helping Virginians attain quality affordable housing.
