2018 Installation and Appreciation Ceremony Honors Volunteer Leaders, Award Recipients
ON BENDED KNEE, newly-installed NVAR President Christine Richardson proposed to assembled guests at her Dec. 6 Installation ceremony: “Can we become engaged?”
Seeking a commitment to participation, excellence and success, Richardson set forth her 2019 goals. Installing officer Brad Boland, former Virginia Realtors® president, Blue Ridge Association of Realtors® president and Dulles Area Association of Realtors® chairman, presided over the installation of Richardson and her leadership team.
Lorraine Arora and the 2018 volunteer leaders were acknowledged for their commitments. Also recognized were the 2018 NVAR Leadership Institute graduates, Omega Tau Rho inductees, and Realtor® Emeritus honorees.
Four individuals received the NVAR Hall of Fame distinction for their commitment of a decade or more of service to the Realtor® family: NVAR staff members Renee Brown and Jill Landsman, former NVAR staff member Sarah Louppe Petcher, and NVAR member Lisa DuBois.
Honorary Life Membership was awarded to 2015 NVAR President Mary Bayat. Special thanks were given to event partner MBH Settlement, whose CEO, Fred Westerlund, was named 2018 Affiliate of the Year.
