Election Date Changed

The Commonwealth continues to respond to the threat posed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Considering the possibility of exposure at voting locations and the fact that no one should have to choose between their health and safety and their right to vote, Governor Northam has approved Executive Order 59 to postpone the regularly scheduled May Town and City elections.

  • The elections scheduled for May 5, 2020, will now be held on May 19, 2020.
  • The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail or email is extended to May 12,2020. The deadline to vote absentee in person is now May 16, 2020 and the deadline for returning an absentee ballot by mail is 7:00 p.m. on May 19, 2020.

ALL VOTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VOTE ABSENTEE BY MAIL USING THE “MY DISABILITY OR ILLNESS REASON”.  VISIT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF ELECTIONS WEBSITE TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT.

Clifton (Mayor and Town Council)

Vienna (Mayor and Town Council)

Loudoun

Hamilton (Town Council)

Lovettsville (Mayor and Town Council)

Purcellville (Mayor and Town Council)

Round Hill (Mayor and Town Council)

Prince William

Dumfries (Town Council)

Haymarket (Mayor and Town Council)

Occoquan (Mayor and Town Council)

Quantico (Mayor and Town Council)
