NVAR Global

NVAR Global represents NVAR’s strategically focused international activities in Northern Virginia and across the globe. Its goal is to increase our members’ awareness of global business opportunities – both inbound and outbound – and to attract international investment to our incredibly diverse and culturally rich region.

For the Washington, D.C. region, international migration was the largest source of population growth in both 2016 and 2017 and has been a consistent source of growth in the past seven years. In 2017, the region gained 44,760 residents as a result of international migration¹ . Serving such an evolving cultural landscape requires that NVAR adapts to capitalize on the opportunities that our Realtors® find in the marketplace.

NVAR Global consists of many initiatives, such as NVAR’s Cultural Forums; trade missions to foreign countries; Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) training; and member involvement as NAR President’s Liaisons.

The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® signs its fifth Memorandum of Understanding with Conselho Federal de Corretores de Imóveis (COFECI), the Brazilian association for real estate. This signing ceremony was held at the Capitol in D.C.
