Request SentriLock Reciprocity

Request SentriLock Reciprocity (3)

NVAR is your partner for establishing reciprocity so you can do your business from everywhere.

As you know, Realtors® subscribe to a strict code of ethics and having respect for the properties they are representing is paramount in their professional journey.

Reciprocity is a mutual exchange of privileges. With SentriLock specifically, it means that when a Realtor® joins an association they not only have access to properties in the jurisdiction that they hold membership with, but access to properties in other jurisdictions, (as long as they have a real estate license in that state), without having to apply for membership at the local association in the area they are interested in touring.

In other words: If you are licensed in multiple jurisdictions - NVAR and SentriLock has made it easier for Realtors® to access the homes their clients are interested in viewing - without having to join that area's association.

Members do not need to request reciprocity with GCAAR, FAAR, GPR, PWAR, DAAR and BRAR. Reciprocity is automatic for these associations' jurisdiction.

DC Reciprocity

NVAR has entered into a reciprocal agreement with the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors® to allow full access to members' SentriLock lockboxes. GCAAR's footprint includes Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County, MD. Reciprocity eliminates the extra step of members having to contact NVAR or GCAAR when showing a listing outside of the respective regions.

These SentriLock Rules and Regulations were updated in April of 2021. Learn more here.
