Virginia Housing | Platinum Reserve

About

Virginia Housing is a state-created organization committed to expanding access to affordable housing throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Established in 1972 by the General Assembly, Virginia Housing works in collaboration with local governments, nonprofit organizations, developers, and private lenders to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible for Virginians.

Through its programs, Virginia Housing provides mortgages for first-time homebuyers, financing for apartment communities, and support for neighborhood revitalization efforts. The organization also offers free homebuyer education classes, housing counseling support, and special programs for veterans and low-income households. Its efforts help strengthen communities and improve lives across the state.

Exceptional Service

Homeownership empowers and helps grow communities so everyone can thrive. Together, we are working to eliminate the affordable housing crisis. Affordable homes lead to successes that reach far beyond their property lines. By investing in the places where Virginians live, we’re transforming our neighborhoods for the good of all.

Economic Impact

We are working to improve the quality of life for all Virginians because affordable housing helps create jobs and changes lives.

With our resources and public-private partnerships, we are:

  • Helping more Virginians find homes.
  • Strengthening the economy.
  • Helping create a stable workforce.
  • Supporting new rental units.
