NVAR recommends comprehensive zoning changes and incentives that facilitate the voluntary market-driven production of a wide range of housing choices at all price levels to suit our diverse population, including encouraging mixed-use development.
It is essential that comprehensive plans provide for the development of owner-occupied housing, to meet existing and forecasted housing demand without unreasonable zoning and land use restrictions that lead to increased costs for housing. Updating zoning ordinances and maps to encourage mixed use with higher residential density in existing commercial areas can provide new home ownership opportunities without affecting existing residential neighborhoods.
SentriLock Fees
SentriLock charges an Annual Leasing Fee ($145) in January, which is paid directly to SentriLock. Upon joining or re-joining the Association, an Application Fee ($75) will be applied. A Lockbox Service Fee ($10) is charged by NVAR with your annual membership dues at the beginning of the fiscal year. This Lockbox Service fee covers troubleshooting and lockbox maintenance in our Realtor® Shop.

Need to Buy a SentriLock Lockbox?
Lockboxes can be purchased at the Realtor Shop®, through the NVAR App, or in-person at NVAR.
This item is for pickup only and cannot be shipped. SentriLock’s Bluetooth® lockboxes are made with durable materials and designed to resist tampering.
If you purchase a lockbox from a fellow Realtor®, please obtain a bill of sale so that the lockbox can be assigned to the new owner’s account. You can email a bill of sale to membership@nvar.com for lockbox ownership assistance if necessary.
Please ensure, if you plan to sell or gift your lockbox to a new owner, to provide them with a Bill of Sale. This Bill of Sale should include name, NRDS ID, date, and serial number of the lockbox. Any NVAR member can initiate the transfer process to another NVAR member by first logging into sentrilock.com.

- Log in to the SentriKey Real Estate app or website.
- Locate the lockbox serial number and initiate the transfer.
- Select the new owner from the available agent list.

2. New Owner Takes Ownership: New Owner
- Launch the SentriKey Real Estate app.

Battery Issues?
NVAR offers complimentary one–day rentals of the Power Paddle and Power Pack. These are tools used to help give limited battery life to a dead lockbox on a door or railing. NVAR does request a one–page form to be completed upon rental of this equipment, including credit card information, in the event of loss or damages. This document is shredded upon return of the Power Paddle and Power Pack. For questions, contact us at 703–207–3200.
