Your NVAR Membership Application has now been processed, and you are now a Realtor®. A Realtor® is a licensed real estate salesperson who belongs to the National Association of Realtors®, the largest trade group in the country. Realtors® are held to a higher ethical standard than licensed agents and must adhere to a Code of Ethics.

Please sign up for your mandatory New Member Orientation Course. This class needs to be completed within 60 days of joining. You can register for New Member Orientation by logging into your Member Dashboard.

3. SentriLock:

If you signed up for SentriLock, you will soon receive a confirmation email containing your SentriLock account login information to their website and additional instructions on how to pay SentriLock’s pro-rated lease agreement.

If you did not sign up for SentriLock, and would like to do so at a future time, please complete the form below and email it to membership@nvar.com.

4. Bright MLS:

In the DC Metro area, the Multiple Listing Service is called BrightMLS. It is a shared computerized database containing all of the properties (listings) for sale by participating real estate brokerages in this region. BrightMLS is a completely separate entity from NVAR and charges a membership fee to participate in its database of listings. You must join BrightMLS in order to access the listings to show your clients and to post your listings for others to show. As a member of NVAR you will get a special member rate when signing up for Bright MLS by using your NRDS number. For more information, please visit the BrightMLS website at brightmls.com.
