2025 at a Glance: A Year of Progress and Impact at NVAR

As we enter 2026, the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® reflects on 2025 — a year marked by resilience, innovation, and strong member engagement. In a changing real estate landscape, NVAR’s more than 13,000 members continued to serve as trusted advisors, delivering value to clients and communities across the region.

NVAR remained focused on supporting member success through strategic investments in education, advocacy, technology, and partnerships. From leadership-driven initiatives to everyday member support, every effort centered on ensuring Realtors® have the tools and resources needed to lead in Northern Virginia’s competitive market.

A major milestone in 2025 was NVAR’s expansion into Loudoun County with the opening of the Loudoun Member Experience Center at One Loudoun®. The new space provides a collaborative hub for learning, networking, and engagement — bringing NVAR resources closer to members in one of the region’s fastest-growing areas.

Technology also took center stage with the launch of the NVAR Mobile App and a redesigned NVAR website. These platforms streamlined access to events, education, legal resources, and member tools, reinforcing NVAR’s commitment to innovation and a seamless member experience.

Advocacy remained a top priority. Member participation in NVRPAC reached its highest level in recent history, helping drive key legislative wins at the local, state, and federal levels. These efforts advanced policies that support housing supply, affordability, and homeownership while protecting Realtor® interests.

NVAR members demonstrated their commitment to community through NVAR Cares, supporting nearly 20 local organizations with volunteer service and financial contributions — further strengthening Northern Virginia neighborhoods.

Professional development continued year-round with more than 300 events, including INSPIRE25, which welcomed over 2,400 attendees and 80+ exhibitors. Additional highlights included the Economic Summit, REACH Lab, EVOLUTION Tech Showcase, global programming, and complimentary CE offerings.

Member success was evident in the numbers: more than 14,000 homes sold year-to-date, representing $12.6 billion in sales volume — an increase of 6.7% over last year.

As NVAR enters 2026, we remain proud of what was accomplished in 2025 and energized to continue supporting our members, strengthening our communities, and shaping the future of real estate in Northern Virginia.
