Surveys (1 hour) Surveys show a wealth of information about the features of a property. The course’s aim is to help real estate licensees learn the history of lot lines and metes and bounds, the basics of a survey, what types of issues that can be revealed in a survey, and the effects of title insurance on survey results. This knowledge will help licensees understand the results of a survey and guide clients on what to look for as part of a survey.
Deeds (1 hour) Deeds are the culmination of all the work that real estate agents do for their clients in all real estate transactions, but are also not fully understood. Understanding the basics and history of deeds will greatly assist real estate agents in preparing the sale of their home or understanding the rationale of why title commitments require certain things completed. Ultimately, understanding these basics and history will assist agents in providing a smoother experience for their clients when issues relating to title occur.

Many times there are power of attorneys, estates, trusts and corporations involved in real estate. This will help licensees know how to prepare themselves and their clients for real estate transactions involving these entities.
