Taxes In Real Estate (1 hour) Taxes are often misconstrued and referred to incorrectly in real estate transactions. This course aims to inform real estate licensees on how these taxes are different and to dispel misconceptions about these taxes.
Understanding Surveys (1 hour) Surveys show a wealth of information about the features of a property. The course’s aim is to help real estate licensees learn the history of lot lines and metes and bounds, the basics of a survey, what types of issues that can be revealed in a survey, and the effects of title insurance on survey results. This knowledge will help licensees understand the results of a survey and guide clients on what to look for as part of a survey.
Dealing with Non-Individual Entities (1 hour) Real estate transactions are not limited to just people purchasing and selling their dream home. Many times there are power of attorneys, estates, trusts and corporations involved in real estate. This course is intended to give real estate licensees an understanding of the basics behind why these entities exist and how they operate in the context of a real estate transaction.
