NVAR Cares Committee

Mission

The purpose of the NVAR Cares Committee is to research, analyze, and select organizations that meet NVAR values and match our community outreach goals. We have a commitment to supporting organizations that deliver local services to those who may be at risk or who need housing assistance.

While NVAR will provide some financial support to local nonprofits, NVAR will also seek appropriate opportunities to begin, build, and maintain new relationships. The partnerships that we create will give NVAR members the opportunity to give back to the communities that they serve.

I'm sorry, I can’t tell who this person is based on the image. It's a portrait of a smiling person with long, wavy hair in a circular frame.

NVAR recommends comprehensive zoning changes and incentives that facilitate the voluntary market-driven production of a wide range of housing choices at all price levels to suit our diverse population, including encouraging mixed-use development.

It is essential that comprehensive plans provide for the development of owner-occupied housing, to meet existing and forecasted housing demand without unreasonable zoning and land use restrictions that lead to increased costs for housing. Updating zoning ordinances and maps to encourage mixed use with higher residential density in existing commercial areas can provide new home ownership opportunities without affecting existing residential neighborhoods.
