How to Access the NAR Digital Library

All Realtors® have free access to the entire National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Digital Library. This expansive collection includes not only a variety of real estate content but also popular titles throughout all major reading genres, including Careers, Classic Literature, Fiction and Management – just to name a few.

To access the library, Realtors® can navigate to realtor.overdrive.com or click here. To get started, all that is needed is an active NRDS ID number. Individuals can enter this  underneath the “Sign-In” button. Most individuals will stick with the default “National Association of Realtors®” option underneath the Select Your Library dropdown option.

Can I read these books on my Kindle, or does it have to be via Web Browser?

The NAR digital library allows for seamless integration with your Kindle device. The NAR Digital Library webpage has an entire tab dedicated to Kindle eBooks. After finding the book you would like to read, you can “Borrow” the book from the NAR library. You will be prompted to log in to your Amazon Kindle account, and after successfully doing so, the book will appear in your Kindle collection.

If you do not have a kindle, you can still read books from the NAR Library via your web browser, or other select digital reading applications and services.

Do I have to return the book?

Similar to a physical library, you are required to return your book to the NAR collection. To do so, you can simply navigate to the “Loans” tab underneath “My Account.” From there, you can select the “Return” button underneath your book. E-books and Audiobooks can be rented for up to 21 days.

The NAR digital library provides Realtors® with a breadth of information, knowledge and entertainment. If you have questions, you can contact NVAR to help you get started.
