A prospective client Googles your name along with the word Realtor® – what do they see?
There’s a strong chance your Realtor.com profile is the first place they land, and the difference between an empty profile and a spruced-up profile could make or break your lead.

Creating your profile is the first step, but it doesn’t end there. There are many features you can utilize to create a powerful profile that represents your brand and expertise.

1. Claim your profile.

  • Visit dashboard.realtor.com. At the log in screen, click “sign up.”
  • Enter your email address, password and phone number.
  • On the next screen, verify your MLS information. You will need your MLS Agent ID to do so. This is sometimes referred to as the public agent id, agent number or member number (not your NRDS number). You can also verify MLS by using an active listing number. Choose this option at the top. Then add the MLS id of an existing listing as well as the Zip code of the listing.
  • Once you have completed the MLS verification step you will be sent an email confirmation. Open this email and follow instructions to finish the verification process.

2. Add content.

  • Bio – Humans are drawn to stories. Spend some time thinking about what you care about and what makes you, you – whether it’s related to real estate or not. Try to incorporate these values into your bio and communicate a story that’s unique and sets you apart.
  • Photos – Put a face to your name with a professional profile picture and banner image.
  • Details, details, details – Provide as many specifics as you can to showcase your expertise: certifications and designations, awards and recognition, areas you work, links to social media accounts and more.
  • Listings – After your MLS verification, your listings will populate on your profile.

3. Ask clients to leave reviews and recommendations.

  • After closings, Realtor.com will send you an email to remind your client to leave you a review on Realtor.com. Collecting reviews on your profile is a valuable way to showcase your success while staying connected with past clients.

4. Update often!

  • Don’t forget to check your profile often and keep it up-to-date.
