Message from 2020 NVAR President Nicholas Lagos

03/16/2020

As your President, and on behalf of our Board of Directors, I fully realize that we Realtors® are concerned with the impact of the coronavirus on our industry and our livelihoods. As conscientious and professional agents, we also want to serve our clients and customers. Yesterday, our leadership team and CEO Ryan Conrad shared the precautions that NVAR is taking to protect our members and staff from exposure to the coronavirus.

At this time, both the Fairfax and Herndon NVAR offices will continue to remain open for business to serve you, while taking necessary health and safety precautions.

The main thing you should do is educate yourself, follow all the protocols established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and use preventative measures when conducting business.

Both the National Association of Realtors® (click here) and the CDC (click here) have posted helpful information. I’ve recorded a video to share a few tips based on those resources, which is included in this email.

As you may prepare to utilize technology more during this time, the Tech Helpline can be a valuable member resource at NVAR.com/TechHelp. NVAR will continue to post updates related to classes and events, as well as helpful resources at NVAR.com/OpenforBusiness. You can also view our latest market statistics at NVAR.com/stats.

We will get through this challenging time, and rest assured, our businesses will get back to normal. We just need to be patient, proactive, vigilant and calm.

Thank you for your commitment to the safety of our community – and stay healthy.

Sincerely,
Nicholas Lagos
2020 NVAR President
