Learn about the slate of candidates for the 2023 Board of Directors.

Voting opens September 6, 2022!

The NVAR Nominating Committee has recommended 8 candidates for inclusion on the 2023 - 2024 Board of Directors election ballot. There currently are 5 available spots for the 2023-2024 Board of Directors. Voting will open for NVAR members at 12pm on September 6 and end on October 6 at 5 p.m. 

Meet the 2023-2024 Board of Directors candidates!

Each board candidate provided the biographical information listed below so that you can learn about who they are and why they want to serve the association.

Tatiana Busch, RE/MAX Gateway

Tatiana Busch is a sales associate serving Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Tatiana has always been an entrepreneur with experience in: owning a public relations firm, retail, Allstate insurance, and is currently the co-founder of a mortgage brokerage. Tatiana works to match each client's desires while skillfully featuring a home's unique presence and character. Leveraging her experience as a successful business owner, she is known for great customer service, communication, attention to detail, personal touches and as a skilled negotiator with her client's best interest at heart. She is the 2021 President of the NAHREP Northern Virginia Chapter and currently a NAHREP National Coach. At NVAR Tatiana is graduated from the NVAR Leadership Institute in 2019, has served on the NVAR Cares Committee, Hispanic Forum, International Business Forum and currently serves on the Realtor-Builder Forum and Public Policy Committee.

Rob Carney, TTR Sotheby's International Realty

With over 17 years of experience in our profession, Rob Carney, CRS, GRI, has been a top producing Realtor® and managing broker who is well known for his kindness and support of our association's members at all brokerages and in all areas of practice, including Commercial and International real estate, and he values the important contributions of our affiliate members. Rob is completing his first term as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors and has used his time on the Board and the Budget & Finance Committee to ensure that your membership dues are being wisely invested to help grow your business and to protect and promote the positive reputation of our profession.  Rob respectfully asks for your vote to continue his work to keep NVAR focused on serving you... the association members.

Stacy Holscher, Redfin

Stacy a licensed Broker in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. As the proud wife of a retired US Army Veteran, her passion for Real Estate formed over several military moves and her desire to educate, advocate and guide clients through the major life milestone of buying and selling home. Stacy is a Supervising Broker in Virginia and manages a team of all-star Agents, closing over 550 transactions in 2021 with extraordinarily high level of client satisfaction. She has been recognized by her Brokerage nationally for her training and coaching contributions. Stacy currently serves at NVAR as the Chair of the Grievance Committee and a member of the Leadership Development and Awards Advisory Group. On the state level, she currently serves on the VAR Risk Management Committee. Stacy is passionate about promoting ethics, professionalism and Realtor advocacy through education, leadership opportunities and increased Broker involvement. She greatly enjoys giving back to her industry and her community. Stacy is excited for the opportunity to serve NVAR members and bring a fresh perspective to the Board of Directors!

Casey Menish, Pearson Smith Realty

Casey Menish is a Realtor® with Pearson Smith Realty. She has called Fairfax County home for over 25 years and adores everything this corner of the Commonwealth has to offer! She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Virginia Tech and pursued real estate as a career fresh out of college. Casey views each real estate transaction as an adventure; a chance to creatively solve problems. Casey thinks of herself as a “connecter” by bringing people together. Casey volunteers with and fundraises for local non-profits including Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, Moms Demand Action, Wholehearted Foundation, and Paradigm Foundation. At NVAR Casey currently serves on the Board of Directors and is the Convention Advisory Group chair.

Mayra Pineda, Samson Properties

Mayra has been a respected member of the Northern Virginia Real Estate Community for over 17 years. Since 2019 she has served as an appointed member of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Real Estate Board of Directors. Mayra is also Director of the Virginia Realtors® Board of Directors and part of the 2022 Virginia Realtors® Leadership Academy Class. Mayra has been actively involved with NVAR since 2005, serving on many committees and advisory groups. She has served on numerous state and local committees throughout the years, including serving as 2019 Virginia Realtors® Economic Advisory Board, 2017 NVAR Chair of the Global Leadership Advisory Group and 2017 & 2018 National Association of Realtors® President Liaison to Guatemala. Her designations include NAR Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), and NVAR RPAC Major Investor. She earned a Certificate of Participation through the Invest in Dubai Real Estate Program 2022. Mayra is global real estate expertise and has been featured in Spanish Real Estate and Community media. She is passionate about giving back to the community.

Cassandra Welch, Long and Foster

Cassandra Welch is a Top Producer who has served in a variety of capacities to further the success of Realtors® and homeownership. She is currently a part of the 2022 NVAR Leadership Institute and is the vice-chair of the newly created NVAR African American Realtor® Forum. Cassandra previously served on the Virginia Realtors® Communications Committee. Cassandra currently serve on the Virginia Realtors® Public Policy committee" and Cassandra is endorsed by National Association REALTORS® Commitment to Excellence (C2EX). She is passionate about RPAC and is a major donor. Cassandra is a Virginia Housing Development Authority Qualified Trainer and is a Virginia Notary. She has a variety of competencies and awards from the US Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection, Jinsitec, Eli Lilly Company, and more. She is an expert in project management, business case management, and financial portfolio management.

Will Wiard, Side Inc.

Will Wiard is an accomplished professional who has brokered over 3 billion dollars in commercial and residential real estate sales transactions over the last 5 years. Will is a National Association of REALTORS® 30 Under 30 Honoree, and a longstanding Virginia REALTORS® Director. Currently, Will is leading the expansion of Side, Inc. as the Principal Broker for the DMV region (D.C., Maryland & Virginia). He is actively involved with many committees at the state and local levels and a longtime supporter of RPAC. He’s excited and honored for the opportunity to serve as one of the NVAR directors.

Colleen Wright, McEnearney Associates

Colleen joined McEnearney Associates, Inc, in 2017 in her 6th year in real estate. Having lived in Northern Virginia for 25 years, she started her career in the DMV working in office and legal administration and recruitment. She has served on the NVAR Board of Directors from 2021-present. She was a member of the Grievance Committee from 2018-2022 and the Co-Chair of the inaugural Products & Services Advisory Group in 2017. She is also e-PRO certified and graduated from the NVAR Leadership Institute in 2016. She has been a member of the NVAR Top Producer’s Club in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021.
