The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR) hosted Delegate Mark Sickles (D-43) and Fairfax County Supervisor Rodney Lusk (D-Lee) for a conversation about issues impacting Southeast Fairfax and the entire Northern Virginia region. 

Supervisor Lusk began the session with a comprehensive overview of several initiatives designed to improve quality of life for Fairfax County residents. The  conversation focused on the communities affected by the pandemic and the development of new projects that will address housing affordability and create opportunity throughout the county. 

Delegate Sickles discussed the progress of the Association Health Plan Bill, as well as the work the General Assembly has put into mass vaccination and testing throughout the pandemic. In addition, Delegate Sickles provided context regarding the Rebuild Virginia Program, an initiative focused on reinvigorating small businesses. 

Both Supervisor Lusk and Delegate Sickles took time to answer questions from virtual attendees and Mary Beth Coya, NVAR’s Senior Vice President of Public & Government Affairs. The eviction moratorium was addressed, in addition to the improving public health situation, the importance of vaccination efforts and what residents can expect post-pandemic.
