On Wednesday, Nov. 30 NVAR members received an email with the subject line, “2022 Membership Lapse.” This email was sent out from the Virginia Association of REALTORS®. The email was not approved, endorsed, or sent by our organization.

The email included such language, such as, “you have not yet made your 2022 $15 minimum contribution for membership in the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC)” and “Don’t let your membership lapse.” For any questions regarding this email, please reach out directly to Virginia REALTORS®.

At NVAR we believe the purpose of RPAC is clear: voluntary contributions made by REALTORS® used to help elect candidates who understand and support their interests, as well as to advocate for ballot initiatives and legislation that will make a difference in our industry.

We thank NVAR members for their patience and understanding during this process. The NVAR Staff team is also available to assist NVAR members at this time.
