NVAR has developed a number of standard forms for use by our REALTOR® members. These forms enhance your ability to practice real estate in a professional, cost efficient, and effective manner. Standard forms are uniform to facilitate business transactions between firms and agents, and allow REALTORS® to easily recognize, understand, and convey information to clients.

Standard Forms Committee
These forms would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of volunteer members of the Standard Forms Committee, which consists of active REALTORS® and Affiliate members. Committee members not only share their own experiences but are responsible for gathering feedback from their fellow REALTORS® or Affiliates and sharing that information with the committee. This vital input allows NVAR to revise existing forms and develop new forms to keep pace with the evolving nature of our real estate market and the changing needs of our members. The committee also ensures that forms remain in compliance with federal, state, and local laws by working closely with the Government Affairs Committee to stay abreast of the changes in the law.

The Committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 9:30 am, schedule subject to change. Contact the Professional Services Department to verify meeting times and locations. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please call 703/207-3214, e-mail spetcher@nvar.com, or click here for the Committee Sign Up Form.

In Section 23 (D) of the Deed of Lease it states "In the event that the provisions of any applicable statute, including without limitation the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, apply to this Lease and are inconsistent with the provisions of this Lease, the provisions of the applicable statute shall control and this Lease shall be deemed to be amended to comply with such provisions." However, Section 41 states, "This lease is not subject to the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act."
