RGS Title

Market statistics are an essential part of the real estate industry. Knowing the average sales price in a given area can help you focus your clients on realistic possibilities and recognize an unusual deal when you see one. NVAR offers several different ways for you to study the market.

Market Summary
The Market Summary offers a monthly overview of the Northern Virginia and Greater Northern Virginia Markets. Average sales price for the month and the year, as well as total dollar volume and comparisons to the previous year are detailed.

Market Reports
Market Reports offers downloadable .pdf charts, graphs and data on a monthly basis for single family homes and co-ops and condos. Files are available for Arlington County, Alexandria City, Falls Church, and Fairfax County, Fairfax City, Loudoun County, and Fauquier County.

Rental Summary
The rental and sales markets are inextricably linked. In general, when the housing market is hot, the rental market slows down. Quarterly reports on the rental market are offered here to present a full picture of the local real estate market.

Sales History
Sales History offers a yearly summary of average sales price, number of homes sold, and total dollar volume for residential real estate in Northern Virginia from 1975 through 2005.

Year-End Real Estate Report
NVAR's 2007 Year-End Real Estate Report was delivered to local media at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 11, 2007.
