As a member benefit, NVAR posts monthly Market Summaries and Market Reports online at www.nvar.com. A format change to the market reports was implemented in early 2007. The February 2007 reports, below, more closely resemble the goal for this newly repackaged data. NVAR appreciates and carefully consider members’ feedback, which has led and continues to lead to appropriate data enhancements. The 2007 reports now provide three separate data reports for single-family, townhouse and condos for these regions: Arlington County, City of Alexandria, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Loudoun County and Prince William County. All 24 reports are also available in one PDF file for easier access to the full set of new reports. Included in these new reports are year-to-year data comparisons on units sold, active listings, pending contracts, average and median sold prices and days on market. The reports now provide the average net sales price (which excludes seller subsidies), active listings by price range and units sold by price range for each housing type. Historical monthly data is also available to download, capturing data from January 2000 to the present in Excel format. The source of data for the Market Reports is the Metropolitan Regional Information System, and the reports are created in conjunction with the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University.
