Realtor® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is given to the member who has shown outstanding leadership, commitment, and skill in the real estate industry. Nominations for the award are accepted at the beginning of the year, and candidates are reviewed by an independent panel of real estate professionals. Applicants are judged on contributions to the industry, outstanding qualities, and any additional factors that set the individual apart in the award year.

Contributions to the Industry
Accomplishments within NVAR, VAR, or NAR, as well as in the community or the candidate's firm are examined.

Outstanding Qualities
The qualities that set the candidate apart from other REALTORS® and contribute to the individual's well-roundedness are reviewed. Comments and examples of enthusiasm, honesty, integrity, talent, and skill are considered.

Additional Factors
Examples of volunteer work and achievements through volunteerism on the local, state, and national levels are reviewed. Participation in civic and service clubs, arts organizations, charitable activities, political action, and educational work are examples of activites considered.
